April 2006 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #19 Item Title C-20 2005-2006 Proclamation endorsing National School Nurse Day, May 10, 2006 (Revised) Issue/Rationale The National Association of School Nurses have designated May 10, 2006 as School Nurse Day.  School Nurse Day has been established to foster a better understanding of the role of school nurses in the educational setting.  Therefore, this year's Nurse Day recognizes the vital role that school nurses have played in improving the health and well being of our country's children.
